Martino Luis holds a PhD in operational research from Kent Business School, University of Kent, United Kingdom. He teaches courses in operations management, industrial engineering, and production planning and control. His research interests are in production planning and control, forecasting, scheduling, assembly line balancing, location analysis, heuristics/ Metaheuristics techniques for optimisation problems. He has published some of his works in national and international journals and also participated in national and international conferences. At the moment, he is a referee for some SCOPUS international journals. He used to work for a time at a shoes factory in Bandung, Indonesia and he also provided several trainings for industrial practitioners for some companies. Since 2006, he is also a member of European Working Group on Locational Analysis (EWGLA). In the early 2011, he received a publication award with a high impact factor from Universiti Utara Malaysia
