Biography: Abdullah Lin has approximately 33 years working in multinational organisations as well as private and public universities. He started his career in engineering automation at Motorola and was engineering manager at Bakti Commitel. Because of his interest in people development, he switched his career path and moved to human resource development. He continued his service in HR in multinational companies such as BCM Corporation, Sony Audio, Finisar, First Solar, Silterra, RapidKL, Exim Bank, and Prasarana Group. His specialised areas include Talent Management, Learning and Development and Organizational Development (OD). In the area of organisational development and talent management, he has conducted training in succession planning, leadership development, competency/profiling development, personal profiling, career development path, presentation skills, interviewing techniques, job evaluation, performance management, and in-house educational development programmes. He has also trained in organisational diagnosis/TNA, training plan and execution, and soft-skills development. He has presented and published his works in various conferences (local and international) and been invited as a guest speaker. Apart from teaching, he is also mentoring and supervising doctoral students. He is one of Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT) trainers under the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) Malaysia to train lecturers in collegial management and coaching and mentoring. As a certified US trainer, he actively involves in training and consulting works for the industry. He also an HR adviser of two US-based multinational companies in Malaysia.
