Biography: Gunalan Nadarajah is Senior Lecturer of Supply Chain Management. Gunalan is Certified in Hazardous Material Handling (Pudong, China) and a Certified Teambuilding Facilitator (Penang Skills Development Centre). He has been very instrumental in university-industry engagement via Public Private Research Network under the Ministry of Higher Education. He has over 18 years of manufacturing industry experience as senior manager in plant management, logistics and supply chain management before joining UUM. He is currently supervising 6 doctoral candidates (PhD and DBA) in the areas of operations and supply chain management. He is presently involved in three research projects. In addition to writing articles for local and international journals, Gunalan also reviews manuscripts for publication in various journals, such as Journal of Technology and Operations Management, Asian Social Science, International Postgraduate Business Journal, etc. He is also prominent in consultancy job where his expertise has contributed to huge cost savings and productivity improvements as well as ergonomics and safety improvements in several local and multinational organisations. Recognizing his excellence of three years in service with UUM, Gunalan received the Excellence Service Award in 2016.
